I'm no expert, but my experience with truck leads me to suggest that any commercial air compressor hose will be fine. It's really not THAT harsh under your bonnet you know.
Hi, looking for some advice here. As per this thread http://www.aulro.com/afvb/d3-d4-rrs/...e-setup-3.html I'm going to fit an ARB compressor in the battery box on my D4 and run a hose to the other side of the engine bay where my second battery sits.
Worried about the heat and general hostility of the environment under there so what hose can cope with it. I will run it out of the battery box, along the top of the firewall and around to this spot so it will get at least pretty hot I'd expect.
Wondering about polyurethane vs pvc vs others for the hose between the compressor and the outlet - I only want to do it once.
Would appreciate any advice.
Thanks,
David

Annealed copper tubing and LPG injection hose do well on air pressure systems. I use these as they happen to be what's available for nix at my place. EFI fuel hose might do too.![]()
To update this, I ended up using this polyurethane hose:
Black 5M 16ft 12mm OD 8mm ID 1mm Thickness Pneumatic PU AIR Hose | eBay
with push in connectors. Working well so far.

The bit that kills the hoses is the heat directly out of the compressor if you're flowin a lot of air eg tyres. The orange air hose that ARB use on their tyre inflation kits is the go.
