    Limited slip Question

Hmm.. I came across a site stating that s1 discovery's had a rear limited slip like the nissans and toyos.

    Is this true?

Does anyone know how long they generally last before becoming ineffective?

I didn't think rover used lsd but....

You are right, they have open diffs, not LSD. What is the site URL?

No LR has had a rear LSD fitted as standard. However, from the late 80s the RaRo has had the VC in the centre instead of the manual Diff Lock lever.

    Mark.

Not for the general public, but LSD was fitted in some special build-up runs done for large clients of Landrover. IIRC, Exmoor Beast on the old LRE forum (now www.lr4x4.com), has a 110 (pre tdi) that has a LSD salisbury rear. The original owner being the SWEB (electricity board) in the UK.

That's the only one I've ever seen though.
