    Long range tanks

    Has anyone here got longrange tanks on a series2 discovery, if so what size are they and are they value for money and which ones are the best :?: 8)

    PS one advantage of a LR tank(1200-1500kms) is you can purchase fuel from a major regional centre rather than a one horse town that charges about 10-15 cents a litre more that may be required with a standard tank that give you 700km -900km.

    I'll second that. When we crossed the Nullabor in the old TDi ( it had a
    130 ltr Long Ranger in it). The biggest benefit was early morning starts which sometimes saw long lines of vehicles waiting for fuel. We just cruised on by and picked up cheaper fuel as required. We could do 1100 klms at a time.

    Still thinking about the Extreme 90 and where to stick a tank. Under the drivers seat is taken with my chipped ECU.
