need a ute

i'm 6'2" and have a d110 tray back, the handbrake is there to"rest" your leg against. you can't move the seat back it hits the bulkhead/body. drive with the window down so your shoulder has room but all in all its not to bad. i've driven some 4-5hr trips just get out a couple of times to stretch, the seats are good on your back, makes you sit nice and straight and have good lumbar support. they can be picked up quite cheap second hand (6-10k) i have had mine for 5 years and 180,000km's its been great

in regards to the rangie for sale here, well i had an 85 rangie. it was great but hit my head on the roof. if it was a disco or 3 inces more head room i would jump on it.
can the defender hand brake be moved?

Are all of the Defender hand brakes foot operated?? I was of the impression mine is non standard. The release is on the steering column.

as to relocating the handbrake, somewhere on the net is a description of relocating it using a RR lever. I've got on the 'puter here somewhere.........

I've never bothered to move mine, as, like Ron, the flippin handle on the door aggravates more.

I know you can move them accross abit, but its a nice leg rest. Never cheezed me off...........

Mates ute has been sitting idle for a while now. Has progressed quite a bit than in the photos including a bobtail conversion. He keeps changing the cosmetics of how he covers the rear sides of the cab.

Needs a lot of work.
