Diff Lockers?

Has anyone installed these themselves?
I have had quite a bit of experience working on Land Rovers, but am yet to work on a Diff.
I have just obtained a Locker for the rear which requires an air line. I know I have to drill a hole in the Diff housing to allow air hose, is there anything else which I need to know? Has anyone got any diagrams?
I look forward to your advice?
regards

I had never worked on a diff either but managed to install an ARB locker myself the other week. It was not too hard, I got the install instructions from ARB and also had some advice from Range Rov.

Probably the hardest part is setting up the clearances and you need a dial guage to do this. I did not have one so I pulled out the old carrier, mounted the locker then took it in to Range Rov to set it up. I think it only cost me about $30 for them to do this and was well worth the money. It was then just a matter of bolting the carrier back in.

If it's a second-hand ARB air locker, check the o-rings because they don't tend to last very long ('bout 50K). Mine used to leak badly after that when I hada rear one fitted and it would re-charge every 40-60 seconds in the end 8O

And no they're not hard to fit. The setting up is the trick, find someone wgho knows his **** about diffs and you'll have years of trouble-free service
