The short answer is no. Like later landrovers the various computers in the car talk to each other so it would not be a simple matter of just plonking in another engine.
eg the engine ECU talks to the security ecu which talks to the ABS and I am not sure but the airbags and explosive seat belt controllers are probably linked in there as well.
If you are looking at another engine the easiest would be a L series diesel as it will mate up to the gearbox but then the fuel system would need changing, a new ECU and loom etc etc etc etc - it starts to get messy.
The TD4 and V6 engines have different gearboxes so changeover issues would be even more complex.
So why do you need a new engine? - I assume you have had the ususal head gasket or slipped cylinder liner issues. They can be rebuilt.
Second hand K series engines sell for about $3500 and rebuilt from LR $5000-$8000 depending on who is telling the story.
Sorry I cannot help with what you can do but I hope this at least helps with options.
