is the blanket just around the turbine?
you don't want it retaining the compressor heat.
can't say I've seen one.
Spotted a genuine Garret turbo blanket on a Puma on the weekend. Never seen one before, but have it on good authority they remove a lot of heat from inside a Defender.
Anyone able to share their experience, and advise where to get one for a 300tdi?

I have one on my Isuzu in the 6x6 and also had one on the County Isuzu for years. I am sure they do reduce a bit of heat around the turbo area under the bonnet and especially if you have the exhaust pipe heat wrapped. Haven't seen one on a TDI but I am sure that they are available. Probably on evilbay.

Plenty of generic ones on eBay. Can't see that there would be a lot of difference between a genuine Garrett one and generic.
Have been meaning to get one for the County as I'm sure it would help with under bonnet temps with EGT sitting at ~700C for hours on end when towing

I can give only a good review about turbo blanket: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/2589562-post19.html unless it's a placebo i feel an improvement in throttle response at low revs as well
Discovery Td5 (2000), manual, tuned
Anyone able to point me at a supplier for a 300tdi stock turbo?
