I've run synthetic on the last 2 winches with no worries and would never run wire again, its too damn dangerous, even when used correctly the hazards outweight the cost difference.

BTW: Repco winches are excellent and work fine! 9500lb is more than enough. Dont keep adding weight to the front when it wont be required.
So what brand of synth rope is best, I know that Bill Burke in the US raves about Amsteel Blue but there must be others that are as good and available locally.
