My Rangie been sitting for a very long time with full tank of fuel...
put back on road in September and took Family to Sydney!
Did approx 3000k over 2 weeks.. 2days after returning to Melbourne could not fire her up put code reader and come up with low pressure
I purchased both pumps $65 for in tank & $125 for outer...
Both aftermarket from Ebay... picked them up from Coburg
Used a 12v Diesel transfer pump... worked really well opened tank and removed fuel!
Time can only tell how good or long they will last... bought 2 spares just in case

    Homestar,

Was it difficult getting the low pressure one out, especially the hose from the tank end?
Reason I ask is that I've got a full tank and nowhere to drain it.

Was thinking of clamping it before I get it off the pump.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

    TIA

    cheers

External pump fairly easy hidden under a cover on left side....
Had small amount of fuel run out when changing!
Make shure you put rubber sleeve on if your pump doesn't come with
Internal pump is a decent job...
Found You Tube clip on how to replace.... Use a strap to hold up seat giving
    You reasonable access!
Full tank of diesel... Found 2 60l drums used for thinners from local painter....
And pumped it out..... wiped tank clean and reusing the old fuel in my tractor
I think there is a couple differences In piping between Diesel and petrol
I changed out the pump from its housing..... Bit fiddly..... All explained in clip Managed to crack said housing large cable tie fixed ok
    Cheers Terry

When I did the in tank one, I took the back seats out to give me access but they are bloody heavy. The in line one is easy to get to as mentioned, I don't think a full tank of fuel will be an issue.
