    Hiline, it is more than likely the crap hub seal used with the greased hubs (IIRC, pt. # FTC 4785 ??)
    What you need is pt. # RTC3511. It uses a double lip, spring energised seal. Only use a genuine one, the aftermarket ones I've seen aren't very good.
    <edit> it has to be mounted 4mm below the hub face</edit>
    I'm using these seals all around, oil lubed hubs at the rear and greased at the front. If you want to make them oil lubed, you will have to remove the inner axle seal, and run oil in the CV's (getting the correct oil height can be a bit of a guess as the level plug has been deleted in the later model swivel housings)

    Might be worth buying a set of the swivel gaitors from the UK or make your own.

    And I thought swamp gators lived in the everglades
    I had a Ser2A that had original leather gaitors on the swivels and tailshafts,VERY GOOD bits of gear.
