    Cruise Control

Just had an Autron Fly by Wire cruise control fitted to my car today.
Went to theGold Coast and back just to try it out.

Oh so good to be able to move ones feet about again.

    Re cruise control

One is on my list to install. Only the cost has curbed my enthusiasm. Will have one befroe my first big trip however. Let us know how you like it.

<span style="color:blue">got any more info on how it works....

eg....does it pull on the accelerator or does it talk directly like the pedal
    does by varying resistance.....?

It works by talking to the ECM computer. (two little black boxes interface with it), and I also opted for the touch pad controls rather than the stalk type controls. It plugs into the throttle pedal wiring and works like the original wiring does. Unlike the Disco, when resuming a speed like 100 klm/hr, it ramps up nicely, does not try to reach 100 klms in 2 seconds. (Very smooooth). All installed behind the instrument panel. (mine is crowded now, fuel gauge and clock took the space up, but it fits in, just!!).
No pics, but check the Autron web site.

I paid $691 for the unit. Fitting is extra.

    See PM.
