I have since mounted it on the front of the Left rear wheel arch, under the rear passenger seat. Has good access from the rear door, and will be easy to wire it to a fuse box that I am placing just behind the rear door pillar. I didn't mount it on the flat surface under the rear seats, as this is the prefect spot for my tent poles (in their bag). Thanks for all the input, and suggestions!

I opted not to mount mine and keep it portable, so I can take it from car to car easily. I have mine mounted in a 50mm ammo box and it normally resides in the roller drawers in the back. Has a power connectionand alligator clips for varied use. If I had to mount it I would probablly make a little box to go up high under the rear wheel arch or under the back seat. I keep towo hand held UHF's on one side, a trauma first aid kit in the middle and the kids dvd player bag normally resides under there too. There is probablly enough room for it on the other side if needed. I prefer the portabillity. However if I can ever afford a locker I will have to reconsider this.

Mine is mounted in a custom flanged alloy box in the LHR quarter panel.
I'll take some pictures in the morning and post them for you.
A fabrication ship knocked the box up for $80.00 a few years back and I cut the hold in the back and mounted it with nutserts and sikaflex.
Clean, dry and out of the way!

im looking at fitting water storage in the rear wheel arch......
probably the same spot you got your compressor....

Tony,
I too am looking at adding water storage in the rear wheel arch, or under the sill. Therefore my compressor is inside the cabin under the seat. Just mounted on the 45 degree front pannel of the wheel arch. like I said before, good access, and easy removal.
Cheers,
Ken
