Turbo fluctuations
I have a TD5 with a turbo pressure fluctuation between 2200- 2800rpm. At quarter to half throttle the turbo pressure goes from about 10 pound pressure to about 5 pound vacuum. This all happens about 10 times a second.
How I got to this, the car was vibrating in the rpm range so I put the vacuum gauge on the wastegate line.
I have searched the forum but found nothing similar to this issue.

You will need to fit a damper in the line to stop the needle fluctuating, also hook up the t piece in the tube between the intercooler pipe and the boost modulator , with your vibration when it does it gently pull up your hand brake and see if it goes away

Thanks for the reply.
The boost gauge was taken at the boost modulator via a tee piece. With the boost damper, is it as simple as fitting a restrictor in the line. If so, would a 1.5mm hole be small enough. I think that's my smallest drill bit.
For the use of the hand brake, is this to reduce the backlash movement in the drivetrain ?

You need to take the boost from the line for the hard pipe to the modulator not after as it won't be reading actual boost
