    Grrr

Jose has emailed the following which doesn't make sense to me.

    Hello,

Do read settings from your old ecu with the nanocom, save them and write in the new one !

Also go to utility menu and do Learn security code procedure to match the ecu with the alarm and off you go

    Cheers

I put an SD card in the nanocom and press the icon that looks like an SD card and it says cannot read file

    Got me buggered.

The last digit on the injector codes can be three different digits , its fine they all mean the same thing, they won't stop it from running even if they are all wrong , did it run on the old msb type ok?, and has it confirmed learning the security code?

    Car runs fine on MSB.....

Pretty sure it learnt security codes...I have done the process about 10 times.

I'm trying to save settings from old ecu to SD card with out luck.

Got me buggered, I went this route so that we were not without a car while old ecu got reprogrammed....although the old one has remapped written on it but have no idea of map

    I give up for today.....

Jose has been replying but keeps says it's a simple swap but following his instructions it still only fires and runs once for a few seconds than will only turn over.

I only went down ECU route as the engine struggles top end...I have replaced intercooler hoses, removed EGR, replaced MAF and am pretty sure the boost modulator thingy is working fine so figured it might be the tune in the ECU

I'd be checking fuel pressure and cam timing for lack of top end, see if the new ecu is logging fault codes

Engine only has 68k on it so figured it's never been apart therefore cam timing should be correct.

How do I check fuel pressure? If it logs a fault I don't think I have seen a fuel related fault pop up.

Don't recall any faults with the new ECU...even when engine runs for the few seconds, will remind myself to check faults next round

Nanocom can't read fuel pressure, I just meant that it could be related to lack of top end , you'll need a fuel pressure gauge , I was thinking it was worth checking for faults to eliminate the nnn ecu problem, is the nanocom letting you know if the security learn worked .... It should
