Can Adaptive Learning Be Turned Off?

Hi, Anyone know if you can the adaptive learning be turned off on a D2 V8 ECU using a Nanocom?

I know it can be reset but I can't find anywhere where you can turn it off.

    Cheers

Why would you want to turn it off?

    ^^ this...

It is a great strategy and Bosch engineers would've included it for good reason after thousands of hours of testimg and development. ..

The reason I'm asking is because I have a 4.6 ECU from a 2004 with SAI D2 installed (I have a 4.6) and I've two codes that are causing me grief. They are for the missing two post cat o2 sensors.

When I reset the adaptive values the car is super responsive and runs beautifully; fuel consumption is excellent as well. However, after about 150kms I start to notice rough running and lag when taking off. Fuel consumption also increases slightly. As soon as I reset the adaptive values it's back to purring again.

Might look into somehow wiring in dummy o2 sensors.

My 4.0 ECU is toast; constant Bank 1 O2 fault. The 4.6 ECU was very cheap from a wreck in the USA and it really does run superbly with it in.

    my thoughts,,
from someone that runs Torque all the time, through various parts installations, when in CLOSED loop these things NEVER stop learning,, which basically means the STFT changes the LTFT endlessly... but,, and its a big but,, it only happens through a "short range" of operation, car must be warm and pretty much at cruise.. any other time it runs off a hardwired set of instructions, full throttle at any time is one such time, cold start is another, I would expect, (not know) that on a pommy highway (around 3K revs)it would be on open fuel loop,,
and open fuel loop brings its own problems when running wrong inlet parts,, because the car wont see "good" figures when its working hardest. You will pretty much rely on the cars knock sensor to stop leaning out, as opposed to the O2's(which are irrelevant in closed loop)

    yes?

Hey Pedro, My engine runs open loop all the time so it must learn in that state as well.

BTW, I'm now convinced the 4.0 and 4.6 MAFs are different (other than diameter).
