Only one way to find out how long your particular engine will last..............let us know how it goes
Ok engine gurus how hard can a non top hatted 4.6 be revved for sustained periods safely?

The bottom end is supposed to be good for 6200RPM, but the lifters will pump up long before then at about 5500RPM unless you fit anti pump up lifters.
With stock cams there is really no point in going over about 5200RPM.
Regards Philip A.
IIRC 5200 is the 4L LR limit,
add more stroke-
take away revs,,

Max horsepower is at 4750 rpm, and max torque at 3000. Can't see any point in going over 4750 unless you're doing cam work first, then you'll want to port & polish the heads, upgrade the fuel system and exhaust system - and still get less bang than spending the same money on an LS1

Yes it does have a non standard cam in it which by seat of pants pulls strongly to about 5700 then starts to taper off
So for safety's sake stay around the 5k Mark by the sounds of it
