mine leaked at the power steering.
Mine leaked at the head. Dealer just washed it and said it was spilt oil from servicing.
Bul****, I found the head gasket seeped.
Mine leaked at the timing case cover, I found it the oil pressure switch "O" ring needed replacing.
Mine leaks at the Transfer case bolt heads.
' This is caused by bolts going into the case where there is no solid backing, the bolts actually ener the oil compartment of the transfer case.
A thread sealer applied to the threads is recomended to fix this.
Mine leaked water into the cabin front..... This was fixed by cauking under the windscreen rubber. Landrover actually put out a water ingress buletan.
I have a seep of oil at the gearbox bellhousing to engine.
Yep landrovers do cock a leg and have a leak.
It's just part of the parcel.

I can't turn of the leaking tap buy turning off the cock.

My '98 300tdi Disco leaks a little powersteering fluid (slight drips). This is from the hose joints at the reservoir and also where the hose goes to the power steering pump. I tightened the clamps a little and it really slowed it down (still drips but I haven't had to top it up in almost 1 year). I don't want to tighten them anymore because it might just make it worse. Has been like this since I bought the car mid-2001.
Also very slight drip from the bell housing drain plug I think. In 3 years my driveway has only got a small section of oil spots, so it's not too bad.
What is annoying is the water puddles I get in both the passenger and driver's footwell. It seems to run down the side walls and I'm pretty sure it's not the windscreen. It's been re-sealed and while it does still allow a little bit in from the top, that is not the source. I think I need to remove the wipers and that plastic covering and see if there is an entry point there somewhere.
As for coolant, since a welch plug leaked about 2.5 years ago, it has never leaked a drop. Even bofore that, it never leaked coolant.

Well my hose must be really hard then DZ, leaks like a bastard, only to a point though, then stops completely. (and before anyone comes out with it, that point is not empty)
TC leaks from the bolt heads since I put it back together. Really hate the idea of pulling it apart again just to put some locktite on all the bolts

How hard is it to change those hoses and what kind of cost is it?
By how hard, I mean can the old hoses just be taken off, news ones put on, fill with fluid and it's all OK? I have read about bleeding the system - is that as simple as running the engine, loosening bleed screw then tightening when no air bubbles?
The hoses have rubber ends the change to metal pipes - do I replace the whole thing or have someone like Enzed or Pirtek fit new rubber the my metal pipes? What kind of cost is involved in changed those pipes.
I know I've hijacked the thread, but it's all leaking related.

see if you can shorten the hose and refit it....
cut of the bit that has been squashed by the hose clamp and it should
stop leaking for a while then.....
