Gday All, I have an 03 V8 hSE disco 2 and Got the disco engine bay wet and then died on me , was running at the time it got wet, I have checked the fuel cutoff switch and changed(even used bypass to check), fuel pump runs and has been checked, have spark at all cylinder, can get to run with spray start into inlet but wont run like injectors are not working, I have even changed the crank angle sensor also, idle air cntl vlv works aswell, anyone got any ideas ,its driving me mad, cheers.

Its always worth finding someone with a nanocom or a scanning tool, it can save you hundreds when trying to resolve a single issue. However, since theres quite a lot of sensors that can become faulty, and still let the car turn over and run, your problem is narrowed down to a little.

check to see if you have destroyed the fuse number 1 in the engine compartment fuesbox. This fuse supplys all 8 injectors with +ve supply. If you have blown that, it will not fire the injectors.

I had the same thing on my old D2 V8. What worked for me is unpluging all the conections on the ECU and plugging them back in. She started straight up.

Don't know why I had no fault codes either and changed the crank angle sensor as well, but it worked for me.

The brown/orange stripe wiring that feeds power to the injectors also feeds various other small electrical parts around the top of the engine. Find that colour wire and test it for power with the ignition on. All the brown/orange stripe wires join in a "clinch" in the main harness at the back of the engine. Cutting the right wires for LPG conversions is paramount so I'm used to getting at those wires.

I don't think that unplugging the ECU will cause any issues. I had mine unpluged for weeks when I did an engine rebuilt with no adverse effects.

I just unplugged them all to look at the connectors, mainly cause I tried everything else to get it running. Thought they may of had a bit of corosion on the pins or plugs, but they all looked fine. Plugged them back in and bam, started straight away. Had me scratching my head and saying WTF, but it started and I was happy.

if you have a nanocom or simlar, maybe try the learn security function, long shot, but couldn't hurt to try, it might just start .
    cheers,
