Buying Cooper tyres....Any suggestions?

I can vouch for these numbers as my van, single axle, 2.6t [bigwhistle] followed me for 25k Km on a pair of these. This included a trip to the Birdsville Races & numerous other dirt road trips without a single puncture. I was forced to change them because of my really bad wheel alignment (my fault) but this is a pic at 25k km after carrying all that weight.

Goodyear could be made anywhere, they'll make a big song and dance if they're out of the US, and FWIW I've seen BFG AT's out of Japan, admittedly around ten years ago.

Anyone tried Kumho MT51? Look like a good compromise between AT and MT. the reviews I have read seem reasonable. Am planning on a set next once my Cooper ATs wear down some more. Just to throw another into the mix!

Always been a little iffy on Kumho sidewalls, although haven’t tried them or met anybody running the MT51, so have no feedback.

so what do khumo have to do to make you less iffy?

Don’t want to do that!

I’ve never had the ability to observe or the willingness to use them after a road tyre experience and a 4wd experience years ago..

If someone here fits some I’ll be watching intently and taking their vehicle to my “test track”
