Ive had two brief stints in D2’s.....
Other than that it’s just been defenders.
D2 was nice up front, nice air-con and comfy seats. While I didn’t sit in the back seat I’m sure they would be way more comfortable than the defer. The cargo area has good access nice full width door.
Defer, I don’t mind the front seats....I can sit in it all day, the bride struggles. Back seats are terrible for adults well anybody over the age of 12. My kids never complained in the younger years. Cargo area is easy to set up but the rear door can be limiting at times.
I think it’s hard to compare the two....as they are quite the opposite
Not sure what your budget is but a D3 would be my choice if I was choosing other than a defender.
