I'd have to check the manual, but it says for the 3.9 "with engine suffix B"
There's 10 per bank, wonder what they cost each 8O
Update, any of the V8's waith engine suffix B. These ones only have 10 bolts per bank. The engines without suffix B have 14 (I think)
They were on mine (whether they were supposed to be or not) and it did a further trouble free 150,000km until I traded it (gaskets were $28 ea https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ ).Quote:

Bushie
 Phew , they have been on mine as well,so i hope no problems with it,just gotta replace the missing thermostat,as it still gets up around the 3/4 mark, something about water circulating too quick to cool  .............
As I stated earlier in this thread, I ran without a thermostat for about 18 months without a problem. The only difference I can see is that the engine warms quicker with it in........which is what the thermostat is meant to do https://www.aulro.com/afvb/Quote:

 what is the normal operating position on the temp guage, would have thought about half way ,but mine has been going up around the 3/4 mark, making me very nervous after what has happened previously, will still purchase a new thermostat (and check it first! ) and fit it ,just to be sure,i can see where the faster flowing coolant would not cool down enough going thru the rad with no constriction thru the thermostat, also all three thermo fans where working at 3/4 temp,so not a fan problem
Mine sits well below the half way mark, the needle pretty much covers the wiggley line below the picture of the thermometer thingy.
It was only just at halfway when the cap problems were happening.
