Question Intermittent M/S flashing D2 Question

OK I have a picked up a 2000 TD5 Discovery Auto. An Intermittent M/S flashing which appears to occur after i have unlocked the vehicle and taken a few minutes before starting it. I have NANocom which when checked throws a
Code P1843 Can timeout monitoring. I have cleared the code and it pops up again occasionally. Now the strange thing is if i switch off the ignition and restart the m/s remains. If I switch off and using the key fob lock and unlock the vehicle then start the vehicle whilst sitting the M/S flashing the code clears and no issues whilst driving. Now I know there was oil in the loom which i have cleaned and will do so again at the ecu end. I will order a new injector harness after chrissy. I have read heaps on the forum but as a new auto owner im a bit stumped where to start looking. New battery fitted, will attempt to check earth points. Can anyone throw ideas my way . XYZ switch ? aircon drains extended. As previously stated appears to be related to the length of time between unlock and actual start up ?. there is a spare BCU unit in the back not sure if its related. No other faults found using Nancom unless i'm looking in the wrong menu
option. Not sure if its setting related but on my manual td5 the doors lock when i commence moving, but on the auto the doors do not lock automatically.

you must have speed lock in your settings, it locks the doors at a certain speed, use nanacom or silmilar to change the setting to disable.

That fault code has to do only with the CAN datalink between the engine ECU and EAT ECU, oil in the red plug can trigger this cos it acts as an insulator and if the CAN message has only 1 sec delay the code is stored, it's about a not perfect contact somewhere on the CAN path, can be within that grey square connector near the ECU too(give contact spray to it)... or low battery voltage can trigger it as well

    Discovery Td5 (2000), manual, tuned
