The 6 equally spaced lines in the head show they are a grade 8 HT bolt. HFC I think means Hex head, fully threaded course - which your bolts appear to be.
Will be fine for the intended application. 👍😊
Hi Folks, I purchased these bolts from an online 4wd parts store down in Victoria. They were advertised as Warn Winch Mount bolts. I thought I read somewhere that Warn specifies the mount bolts to be high tensile 8.8 or better. My understanding is that HT bolts have identification markings on the head. These bolts only have the letters H E C. I assume this means these are not HT's. would I be correct in this?

If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
They are SAE or imperial HT bolt markings and equivalent to metric grade 10.9 approx.
Without dragging my little black book out, the 6 radiating lines indicate an imperial grade 8 bolt IIRC.
I've learnt something new today. Thanks for the replies. Now I can continue with the install. 👍
