All,
As you all now know, Land Rover products are growing in complexity. The electronics are a real problem, because something can go wrong, and then shut down a critical system. The you have a real problem if you're in the middle of the Simpson
So, what we are after is a unit to share between myself and a couple of mates that have LR, so that when we go on trips we can take a laptop and this device with us so that in the event of trouble we can as the car what it thinks is wrong, and clear and or rectify the fault.
The cars that it will have to interface with is a p38, a classic (82) rangie, and a 2x td5's.
On this forum I saw mention of the rovacom lite. It did look a little pricey but maybe that is the cost of what we want. If anyone has used this I'd love to hear from them.

Alternatively, if anyone knows of any other options or has any other ideas I'd love to hear from them.

Tip...
Rovacom Light can check and diagnose the vehicles but cannot reprogram them.
If your interested in reprogramming you need to go to Rovacom Pro.
Or if you have $16k burning in your pocket you can get Autologic.
Cheers
Mike
We don't want to be able to re-prgram them, just re-set fault codes to get them back going again. Will rovacom lite do this for us ??Originally posted by tombraider

Yes, sorry....
Its allows factory type calibration / fault sorting.
Just no programming facility.
Cheers

The only interface you need with an 82 rangie is a big hammer and some fencing wire
