KYB Shocks (and other alternatives).
Hi there.
Just wondering if anyone has had any experiences (positive or negative) with KYB shocks?
I'm after a new set of four for my 1986 Range-Rover.
I'd love Bilstiens, but realistically I cannot afford them at this stage so I'm looking around the Ironman/Rancho/KYB/Gabriels price range.
Any other suggestions/alternatives/advice?
Thanks heaps!

Ridepro seem to be worth considering. Les Richmond (Andrews Dad, now passed on) from Rangie Spares used to reccomend in order, Bilstien/Koni/Factory origonals and then nothing. It was an interesting slant but we saved the extra, put on Bilstiens and have had them now for 15 years and they have been great (and about 200,000km) so long term, saveing now saves you later !!

Tough Dogs. So far they have been great on the Disco. No fading on corrugations and the valving seems very suited for a Landrover.
And they are a good price.

Yes, I have been told by a lot of people recently that ridepro are a great budget shock. I was about to buy some procomp shocks for the Rangie but have been persuaded to go with ridepro. They can do a 730mm shock for the rear and an 80 series for the front. And for around $120 they are worth a try.

If you can tell me where I can get shocks for $120/pair I'll be there.
