Keyless Entry ??
Hi I have had my 95 Discovery for about 2 weeks now and I was wondering if it had keyless entry at all. I only have a key and no remote fob with it, but I see the alarm under the bonnet is turned off and someone said that is because it needs to be armed remotely. Thanks for any suggestions.

Interesting, I cant really help to much but I have a 2004 Disco and if locked only by the key it only locks the doors but doesn’t engage the alarm. The alarm can only be engaged by the remote fob button lock symbol on the fob thing hanging off the key. I don’t know if it is the same with any older model..
Say if you have a dog in the car you only lock using the key.
Hope this gives some input.

If your 95 Disco has the alarm under the bonnet & you can see that it's turned off, then it's not a factory alarm. They don't have a switch on them as they're part of the car, not really separate.
Only the ES had a factory alarm on the 95 Discos.

No worries. Thanks for the replies, sounds like it doesn't have keyless entry, it must have been a factory option that I don't have.

Bubba,
Have a 95 Disco. Had a key lock on drivers door mechanically locking that
door plus a switch inside to solenoid lock the other 4 doors.
I put in a keyless alarm system which included a solenoid operating on the
drivers door only. The original switch looks after the other 4 doors. Been
working trouble free for 5 yrs & 400.000K now.
olfella.
