Are the IPF fat boys still relevant? I used to run them in my old 4Runner with hella inserts and upgraded wiring harness. The light output was amazing just from the headlights. Add inthe the Cibie oscars ( rally lights not the larger super oscars) I was definitely not wanting for light output in front at night.
Alway thought of running the another set of fat boys on my D2 when a bulb finally blows.
the beam pattern is only a rough guide .. grey card was only about 1m from the headlight.
On the road, the spread pattern is nice.
my D1 has a high rear stance, so the light throw is lower than it could otherwise be, but considering the new LEDs probably better for oncoming traffic anyhow.
.... didn't think to do a high beam comparison!
Update...these are a vast improvement. Old Landy now has the best lights in the family. I drove the outlander from Wagga to home last night...felt like I needed a torch to see if the headlights were on. I have them set very low and have not had anyone flash me after a few hours of use. Might raise them a touch.
