Is that the line to the rear screen washer?
The large inline bit looks like the one way valve on it.
Paul.
Hi all,
Hoping someone can help me ID this part. It was sitting in my rear left wheel bay hooked around the mud flap guard of my 110. I went 4wding over the weekend so assume I’ve broken something - it wasn’t attached to anything and the rubber tube is very deteriorated.
I had a look on the other side of the car and a very similar looking part is attached to the fuel line.
Struggling to understand why a similar part would be on the opposite side of the vehicle.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Matt

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.
I wonder if it's a modified diff breather - in that it's had a fuel filter added to stop water ingress.
It doesn't look like the diff breather images in MicroCat. Maybe it's from another 4WD and you've picked it up.

That was one of my thoughts too. I’ve only had the car for a few months now so I’m still being surprised, though I didn’t notice any after market attachments on the differential itself.
I hope that this is the case, always good to damage something non essential!
I’ll test the wiper and report back.

It's the breather for the fuel tank.
And I'll name it Steve.
It looks exactly like the breather for the main fuel tank, which is still in place on the other side of the vehicle.
It could be the breather for my aux tank, I’ll need to get the car on some stands to figure that out - though this is also on the other side of the car to where the part (Steve) was found.
I tested the rear wiper spray and it works fine, so can rule that out.
Cheers
Found the other (broken) end of the mystery hose deep in the wheel bay - part is certainly a breather from the top of the fuel tank.
Thanks for your help guys.
