P76 v8, odo says 35k (but no idea how many times its clocked over), 30w50, 24psi cold or hot.
Pressure increases with rpm - up to 40psi last time I remember sinking boot.
Hi All,
For those of us who have an actual oil pressure measuring device of some sort, other than the simple warning light: I am interested in collecting some numbers. I am interested in oil pressure vs oil type (viscosity) mainly. I do realize that the state of the engine, ie. wear, plays a role here. If you own a vehicle equipped as such and know what oil you run, please could you provide me with this info?
example:
4.6 V8, xxx.xxx km's, yyWzz oil, pressure cold, pressure warm
I am interested in these figures since a rule of thumb seems to be: oil viscosity should be that which gives you enough oil pressure. (all other things aside) and I would like to test that without having to buy 20 different oils and test them all by myself
Thanks!
