    Spotlight LED conversion

There has been a lot of posts on LED retrofits to H4 & H7 headlights but nothing on converting spotties to LED, i expect that the same limitations apply as far as reflector suitability .
I have HID upgrades in my IPF 8000 but wondering if LED globes would work.

    I have a pair of IPF somethings(came with D1).
Looked far and wide for decent quality H3 LED replacements, but failed.
Found some on the bay, very cheap .. knowing full well they would be crud! .. and .. well... what should I have expected other than crud
Still have the IPFs, but the H3 LEDs were chucked.

I'd searched as far and wide as I possibly could, and found nothing.
Part of the issue with my IPFs(800's I think) is that they need H3's, AND they need to be of the ribbon heatsink LED type, as there's zero room between the rear of the globe and the inside of the rear of the outer case.
Otherwise the rear case would need a hole made to allow fitment.
The only LEDs I could find with ribbon were those cheapo cruddies I got .. which just scattered light everywhere but the ideal direction.

But! now I see that Stedi has a H1 globe that may do the job properly.
Problem is the $130 price tag. A bit beyond my tolerance level to test something.
Didn't mind the $15 I paid for the cruddies, half a pack of smokes(which are worse for me than a pair of useless LEDs). So I justified that 'waste of money' in those terms

Yes there isn't much room behind the reflector in the IPF's although the HID amplifier fits ok.
