Ron,
Thanks again! That is the plug for sure. Attached is a picture of mine. As you can see the holes that were being used have disintegrated. If that diagram turns up I am definitely interested.

Jim,
You don't really need that orange plug. Mine fell apart too, and I just connected the plastic tubes direct to the valve with short bits of 3mm neoprene fuel/vacuum hose.
You can connect them to the right places by trial and error, there is one vacuum tube from the little round reservoir under the RH mudguard, then just connect the other 3 until all the air flaps work when they should.
Cheers,
Terry.
ps I will be going in to fix a non working LH air flap in the next few weeks, and I will take some pics then.
Thanks Ron,
I have a bit of that stuff left. I did a rebuild of the heater/aircon box late last year (what a job that was!!!).
Was hoping to get the aircon working before summer, but it wasn't meant to be, there were multiple leaks in the A/C system, still have a couple to fix.
At least the heater works for the winter.:D:D
Cheers,
Terry
Ron and Terry,
Thanks again. I will try Terry's method and see what I get. I am most interested in getting some warm air for the winter, but if I get the flaps working maybe there is hope for the A/C which I figure is at least out of gas.
This has been a tragi-comedy. The fan doesnt come on either. I know the motors good, but there is a gremlin in the heavily modified and undocumented electricals.
First I will get the flaps operational and then it is off to the auto electrician as I have spent hours and hours on the fan electricals and just can't track down the problem.
Such is life.
Regards
Jim
I had a good day yesterday! I did trial and error with the vacuum and got the vent flaps working for the dash and the windscreen.
I am not at all sure I have connected/blocked the lines correctly, but I have a start point. I did not try to get the A/C vacuum line going.
At this stage I only want heating in the cab. I will wait until summer again before I worry about the air con.
In the diagrams attached I get the dash flaps opening when button C is depressed, and dash plus windscreen with B depressed, when the vacuum lines are attached as shown. If anyone knows what the three buttons are actually for please let me know as my hand books dont refer to them.
And if there is a more correct way of connecting the tubes I would take advice.
Thanks to all for notes and posts. Drinks owed!
Jim
