Thanks Phil... I'll drop in there over next few weeks.
I just noticed in another forum... Noddy said "... A straight thru exhaust is a better option to overcome this lag problem...". Link is below...

One thing the QF guys said that would definately help with more power, fuel efficiency etc was to put a sports exhaust system in... I've never thought about mainly I guess because no-one on the forum has talked about it... to get these gains it always seems to be ECU upgrade, intercooler and now of course the straight-thru pipe and blanking up the EGR pipe.
Does anyone know of any reason why to not whack a sports exhaust system into a 2000 td5 defender? Maybe 50-100 bucks for a straight-thru pipe Vs 500-600 bucks for a sports exhaust??? That was the first thing that came to my mind :?
Oh well, back to work tomorrow...
Scott
ide go the straight through pipe first!
the exhaust system in the disco/fender is already 2 1/2'', plenty big
enough and its mandrel bent.
the cheaper option would give you the the same effect as the ''sports''
system.
