Another Mystery Noise -Defender 130

Can anyone shed any light on a vibration noise that ocurs when coasting along under no load between 50-60kms in forth gear. To me sounds like a vibration in the drive train.

As usual always difficult to determine, the vehile only done 40,000Kms. My thoughts include aggresive tyre pattern or something in the transfer case.

Keen to hear form anyone who has experienced a like problem.

    Cheers

Blimey! It could be so many things....

If you do have agressive tyres then they will make a sort of background low pitch buzzing noise. Stick your head out the window & see if you can still hear it? If it's tyres, then it's probably going to be a bit louder from the outside.

If you've got a really flat, empty section of road, you could always get up to speed & then knock the transfer box into neutral to see if it's still there. At least that way you would have narrowed it down further.
