Help me identify these tie rods?

Hello there !I have quite an unusual request, I hope you guys can help me out. I am looking for tie rod which has been installed on a tractor, which has been built many years ago, using components from various manifacturers.By looking at the thread type (Whitworth) I think the tie rod comes from a Land Rover, but I don't know which model.I already found out that Series 3 tie rods won't fit, because the thread pitch is different (Whitworth 16G 3/8 on the Series 3, but mine should be Whitworth 18 G 5/16). I am posting some measurements, can you help me? Thanks a lot from Italy!

I am not certain, but I think that the Landrover tie rod ends use BSF not BSW thread on the shank. In my view, the unknown one you have is UNF not BSW thread, and this would be consistent with the 18TPI.

Most tie rods are 11/16" x 18 NS and later LR's and RR's are 11/16" x 16 NS. I don't know about early Land Rovers or older small pommy stuff. Tie rod ends are usually left & right handed in pairs for adjustment purposes.

Get a caliper that reads in inch measure to make life easier. Preferably one that reads in fractions. The cheap plastic ones from dollar shops and hardware stores are good enough for thread measurement.

Brian, the OP is in Italy - might have a problem finding anything that measures in inches!
