First no I can't afford to replace the accessories.
My TD5 doesn't seem to need the remote as the battery is getting flat, Only triggers the doors every 2nd time.
I did have and old car with the fuel pump and fan on its own switch. If you didn't know where the switch was you would get a block down the road and it would die from lack of fuel.
I would agree that most people wouldn't wast their time looking for the hidden kill switch but just take what they could and leve you with the damage. A pro will take it if they realy want to no matter what.
