    Just my input on the Jag gearbox. I've got a 75 XJ6 series 2 but mine has a BW65 and it also used to leak fluid when it sat for any time. I did have a little leak from the selector shaft but my main leak was coming from my speedo cable. The fluid was leaking through the right angle drive and going up the cable which has a cracked outer liner allowing the fluid to leak out. I pulled out the speedo drive, gave it a clean, replaced the o ring and now it's better.
