    Diff Rebuilder in Sydney? (for LT95 Centre Diff)

    Good afternoon all,

    I need to rebuild a LT95 centre diff. The spider gears and side gear have worn into the housing, so the housing will need machining and thicker shims. I'd also like to use a HD one-piece cross shaft.

    Can anybody recommend a shop in Sydney for this job? I have called around without much luck. (Getting someone to machine behind the thrust washers on the hemisphere seems to be the hard part).

    Try Matt from Total Traction drivelines in Moorabbin Victoria. 0395551501. I have used him to refurbish a few over the years. If you want a new centre diff housing PM me as I have a couple.

    Award diffs closed a few years back, the owner or a family member became ill and they closed the doors.

    i approached Jeff from Jmac Diff and Gear Arndell Park about rebuilding a diff, he seemed knowledgable. Not much difference between a diff and transfer case. I get my gearbox work done by Joe from Wollongong Automatics. Awesome mechanic (better you will not find when it comes to gearboxes), ****house at time management.

    I know of a bloke who IMHo was great at building diffs. he did my detroit locker way back and sorted out my Porsche 924 turbo when the replacement correct bearings were too big to enable the transaxle to close.
    He moved several years ago from his employer in Hornsby and started Final Drives which is at Mt White.
