    Why is my blinker over excited????

    OK, my right front blinker is playing silly buggers.

    On the dash it is blinking way too fast. Right Rear and side indicators outside working fine, front right HS not. It's not the bulb, don't believe it's fuses either. Can hear the relay (or whatever makes the tick tick sound) working, but no blinking light.

    So...can anyone tell me WTF is going on?
    and be so kind to inform me HTF do I fix it?

    The indicators flashing at double speed is due to the front right not working. I assume your left indicator is behaving itself.

    If the globe is OK, then check the contacts inside the globe holder. I can't say that it's common for the Series II contacts to fail but it's possible they've lost tension.
    If that's OK, check for +ve & -ve at the wiring to the indicator.

    You will get the same thing if you fit LED Lamps. The low resistance does it. Are you sure your lamp is not faulty? Try putting another in from the other side and see if the fault transfers.

    I'm no electrical whizz, but that's how I know it's not the bulb.

    do you have a bullbar fitted if so check where they have spliced into the wire with those dodgy wire crimps I have repaired all of mine as they were starting to fail used solder and self bonding tape to seal the join
    disco seriesII mods so far:-bullbar,hyd winch,
    detriot locker,lsd front,C.D.L kit,chipped and bigger intercooler,2" lift,rock sliders, lsd in transfer case, modified auto trans.
