    Hi
you will need to remove the head bolts as they go through the carrier , so should remove the head, you will then be able to replace any plastic head dowels with steel , replace injector washers / seals etc.
bit unusual to have to replace tappets if less than 5-600 000 kilometres though as they don't sit on the camshaft so don't wear much.
make sure you order the correct thickness head gasket and replace the head bolts with genuine or oem

nope, you can only remove the injector rocker arm.

once the cam carrier is off its time for a new head gasket, bolts, dowels and all the other stuff that goes with.

Sounds like the head has been off before, between leaks and tappet noise, you'll probably find someone has used silicone between carrier and head , filling the oil galleries with it and starving the tappets of oil.
If you look under the coolant outlet you might be able to see either 1 , 2 , or 3 holes in the gasket representing the different thicknesses.
Replace the exhaust studs and face the manifold as well

the gaskets have holes in them as mentioned, they're under the coolant outlet as mentioned and its easy to see them once you have the exhaust manifold out of the way.

I prefer to remove the manifold first send it for dewebbing and flattening as required elongating the stud holes for 1,2,4,5 and getting in replacement nuts and studs.

I've heard tell (and quietly believe) that there is some benefit to polishing up the bolting faces on the manifold as well.
