I bought a seized Perkins 6354 diesel motor as a spare on the weekend. Apparently. the motor was a good runner when it was parked up. Then through lack of use the motor seized up. Not to mention the fact the engine was then taken out off the truck and left sitting out in the weather - for who knows how many years?

Tonight I took out each injector and poured neat Ozspray Industry Grade Liquid Lanolin down each bore. I then replaced each injector. I will give it a week soaking to see how well this works.

I did the same technique to my very seized motor out of my 2A ambulance. When I bought the vehicle I checked the oil and found the dipstick lined with a yoghurt like film. Using a breaker bar and socket on the crankshaft failed to rotate the engine.

A couple of months ago I removed each spark plug and poured a mixture of diesel and automatic transmission fluid down each bore. The engine remained stuck. So I have moved onto the liquid lanolin approach tonight.

If the lanolin soak does not work, then the heads come off and I will have a go at the diesel fire in each bore.

    Kind regards
    Lionel
I had a big rolls engine on a compressor that was parked out in the weather for 12 months without a cap on the exhaust. seized solid. They ask me to get it going but dont spend any money doing it. Poured about 10 litres of penitrene down the injector holes and left alone for a week. Then every day I put a socket on the crank and slowly worked on it. Took about a month to get a complete rotation, Put the injectors back in and it started. The engine was still going 3 years later when I stopped contracting for the company.
    cheers
