And then my Citroen had it on both sides! (You had to release both to open the bonnet)
My Suzuki had it in the glove box, you could lock the glove box, unlike the rest of the car.
My 110 County just had the latch in the grill, which is exactly where it's needed when you want to open the bonnet.

1. One after the other - there are two latches, one on each front corner. Some earlier models had one internally operated and one with a lever at the front.
2. Yes, if there is nobody in the LH front seat and you are reasonably fit and arms at least average length (and waist not too large - conflict with steering wheel!)
Easy. Skoda is Euro .. ie. predominantly LHD
Suby is Japanese, ie. RHD ..
Japanese are not stupid! They make it easier for the neurosis affected Japanese customers .. the rest of the world can get stuffed! [biggrin]
If memory serves me(which it usually doesn't!) drivers glovebox(noting that they had one for driver AND one for passenger), and just to the left of the steering wheel.
My favourite trick of the P6(other than being my favourite car I've ever owned) ... the very handy fuel reserve (pull) lever. [thumbsupbig]
I don't ever remember the cable being tight on that feature, and easy location to get at too!
To be fair. Don’t remember P6 being expected to Ford rivers, drive sand and dirt or generally have full on excursions off bitumen.
Anything used in dirt & mud will have these issues.
not by your average driver .. but then again an idiot like me comes along and .... well, yeah I got mine bogged once, where I shouldn't have been driving it.
But they did have very long compliant suspension and very decent ground clearance(for a road car) which allowed them to be driven over fallen trees on goat tracks.
Needless to say a few months after my 'stupid moment' .. I ended up with my RRC [biggrin]
ps. my cable oiler doodad(thanks to your tip) arrived the other day, keen to test it on my D1s reluctant cable soon.
