A Traxide headlight loom upgrade along with Philips Rally globes when switched to high beam make my IPF8000 spotties redundant[emoji54]

Finally blown the low beam on one the Phillips Plus 130's.
Wanted either Phillips or Osram and every Narva headlight globe I've bought over the last 20 years was an Osram.
Looks like that isn't the case any longer.
Just bought some Narva's and they are branded Alite, made in the PRC [emoji53]
I would've hunted for a set of Philips or Osram if I'd known that.
I fitted a set of 130 Phillips H4 globes into the low beams of my D2a about 5 years ago and they are still working just fine even though I always have my low beams on when driving [thumbsupbig]
I used them on my old D1 and they would blow after a few months, ended up making the globe connector brittle from heat.
I ended up making a loom with relays and heavier gauge wire to fix this.
apart from the poor wiring on Landies I reckon these globes run hotter than standard.
I’ve only used regular globes so far including the coloured, and the plus ?’s, but the best that I’ve use so far is a Traxide headlight loom with 90/100W globes - you need the loom for these globes, the factory plugs will melt. They’re still not a patch on my Audi headlights but probably as good as ****ty H4’s get.
