    Unidentified Wheel Objects

Hoping to engage the brains trust to identify some odd fittings on a wheel I'm about to refurb. I've obtained a few wheels from various sources and have only one of these out of 9 wheels total. Any idea what the three knobs/nipples/studs are on this rim for? If they do anything? Agricultural fitting maybe? Or I'd thought maybe they could be something to do with rope making somehow?

    Hub cap locator/retainer?
I remember having them on some 15 inch wheels on one of my old Hillman Hunters
I can’t remember what vehicle the rims were off originally but was told they were for holding on the hubcaps

Yep. Quite common on British cars from the 50s and 60s. I believe you'd still find them on the Hindustan Ambassador as recently as 2014.

I see! Seems a bit fancy for Land Rover rim. Maybe not originally an LR wheel?
