Hi All
Thanks for the info Defenderzook I will have it replaced at the same time. I would not like to have that noise in it after replacing the clutch.
Regards
Doug
has anyone found out what the squeal is for sure?? mine is starting to get worse i hear the squeal between gear changes and also when warm, the other thing that tweeked my memory when i was at landrover asking about the gear oil they said that the dextron makes the syncro's squeal and that you should use the caltex something 95 oil
any ides??
Intens - There has been much discussion regarding transmission oils, do a search... Caltex MTF 94 or Castrol Syntrans are the LR recommended oils. I had ATF in my LT77 gearbox, then filled with Syntrans. Shift quality when hot is much improved.
