    I would say get new.
If you bought kits they would have to be installed into the bodies and tested again.
So probably not many $$$ to be saved.

Any thoughts about refurbished injectors? These are about 1/2 price of new injectors. LRparts.net are a reputable supplier I think.

After a week or so of looking around I decided to bite the bullet and go with the reconditioned injectors from LR Direct. They advised they sell 100s of these and have never had a return and these are reconditioned Bosch injectors, so quality should be good. I hope both are true.

The saving was about $400. Hopefully that is the last of the parts.

Ok the engine rebuild is progressing. Block sorted (honed, new set of pistons, bearings etc), head is ok (new injectors), injector pump tested and ok, new coolant pump, clutch kit etc.

The next question is what to do about the turbo. It seemed ok, maybe needs new seals.

Do I spend a couple of hundred on a refurb with new core (CHRA) seals and gaskets, buy a new Britpart turbo ERR4802 for about $650 delivered, a new Garrett for about $900? Or go to the trouble of adapting a TD04 MHI turbo?

Remembering this D1 is mostly for my teen son. Thanks.

I have had success with an ebay chra, mybe I was lucky.
The other option is a hybrid chra from a reputable company.
The replacement chra with included manifold housing are not quite the same as oem, but do work.
Unless you had a mitsi turbo already I would not bother trying to source and fit.

    Cheers,
    Tony

I will be interested to hear how these go. Did you need to supply the old ones?

I haven’t picked up the old ones. But I get a bond refund when they arrive.

I see that nozzles for the ERR3339 are pretty reasonably priced, but diesel place says they can’t get a complete kit and kit has more than just a nozzle.

The best price I can find for new injectors is $88GBP from Paddocks.

What do people recommend, new Bosch injectors or try to get a rebuild kit?

    Thanks.
for what the kit and labour costs, get the new injectors.
