    TPMS - Band Style

Just wondered who might be running some of these - I am in the market for a set and talked to one company with a good reputation and although very helpful and easy to deal with, their suppliers are struggling to fill orders and I could be waiting several months for them. As I need new tyres in the next month I am looking for alternatives. It is for my Sprinter so needs to be at least a 7 tyre setup and capable of 60PSI or so. Want to go banded as they are less prone to damage from ham fisted tyre fitters and balance easier. The setup I have looked at has a receiver you mount under the vehicle centrally then run a wire up to the display. As the distance is around 7 metres from front tyres to spare, most of the in car receivers won't work this far.

Anyone got any real work feedback on anything they'd recommend - and equally avoid?

    TIA.

Just called them - they only do external sensors so not suitable for my application unfortunately.

Out of curiousity why do you prefer internal? I have run externals for many years and never had an issue plus if you change a flat you just relocate the cap. Also no issue with tyre changers.
Also + 1 for the Safety Dave product

    TPMS - Band Style

I’ll have all 7 wheels fitted with them so no issues swapping tyres if I get a flat, but the biggest thing I’m worried about is theft. The Sprinter basically sits next to the footpath and I already get kids (and bigger) snooping around it from time to time - I have a camera on the house pointed at it but that doesn’t cover the Drivers side which is right on the property line.

Other issue for me (and while I’m sure it’s fine) I also don’t like the idea of them hanging out on the end of the valve stems putting unnecessary pressure and flex on them. Based on those things internal will be better in my application and the internal valve stem sensors could get damaged (and do) when tyres are fitted but the band style are out the way, cause no balance issues and can’t be stolen.

Horses for corses I guess but that’s the way I want to go and what most trucks and busses run as well that use them.

Looks like no one here has any so I may have to wait until the supplier I spoke to has stock again.

Appreciate the replies as always. TPMS - Band StyleTPMS - Band Style
