Discovery 3 park brake picture
Hi
I’m wondering if some one has an exploded view of left rear park brake shoe assembly?
I pulled mine apart in haste an didn’t take any pictures for reassembly if some one has a decent picture that would be very helpful.

Hi again,
If anyone has replaced the rear hub on a discovery 3 is it easier to assemble the park brake shoes whilst off the car or mount the hub and backing plate then assemble park brake shoes etc?

I’d do it last on the car because you’ve got to engage the brake cable.
Bodsy’s Brake Bible you can find online and download has detailed instructions on park brake. No doubt many YouTube videos as well.
It’s pretty intuitive but one side is upside down compared to the other.
Clips hold the shoes to the backing plate that can be a real trick to get back on as you need to push the stud through from the back while sliding the clip on. Very hard on one side from memory!!
Taking apart is much easier than assembly due to the springs but needle nose vice grips are your friend here.
Clean and lube the winder adjuster with copper grease and generally give everything a good clean. Install with winder fully retracted to make the springs easier.
You’ll work it out eventually.
