    Good rotors and pads

Hi all. Are DBA still the best road vehicle rotors? If so which ones? And ECB Yellowstuff for pads to suit? 4wd brakes. Towing and looking for good bite. Longevity is not a top priority but cold and hot performance are.

    Cheers

I haven't tried everything out there, but that setup with Dba T2 slotted rotors is the best setup I've had.

Thanks Simon. I have always been wary of slotted for 4wd rotors but you have clearly had a good run. Have you done a lot of high speed dirt or sand driving with them?

    Cheers

Yes, I've done a fair bit of both with them and no problems at all, they've been good. Sand and high speed dirt havent caused any problems with them.

The DBA T3 slotted rotors, with DBA XP pads are very popular with the jap brigade.

Although if its for the D2,i would stick with Simons advice.

I fitted DBA non slotted no drilled standard discs and Yellowstuff pads.

Very very happy with them, cold and hot, and heaps more stopping power than Bendix 4WD pads.
    Cheers

Spoke to DBA. They recommend the T3 4000 rotors which are a grade of metal above T2 and they do them in the 320mm disc for the MR GLSP Triton. They recommend DBA XP pads. They reckon the combo is not the last word in longevity but brake hard and are great with high GVM touring and heavy towing. That's the way I will go. Thanks all.

I have done likewise… very happy with the combo, although I do not tow …
