Hey that's a great point - I might line the underside with some foam - that would DEFINITELY make a difference. Might give it more of a solid feel too.Originally Posted by disconut

where Trev has his two stubbie holders, I have an open tray. When I stop for a flat white I have to burrow through the crap I have there (AAA Mag Lite, spare change, various pipe fittings, a couple of pens, clutch pencil, 6" ruler, roll of teflon tape, ......... well, you get the ideaOriginally Posted by DEFENDERZOOK

...and no, there's no room for any of that crap in the cubby box as it's chokka with my Fluke multi meter, tong (clamp) meter, five digi thermometers, winch remote, sling psychrometer, spare leccy tape, various globes, small reference books, tape measure, head torch, verniers, two cheque books, deposit book, electronic screw driver set, and much more......![]()
Let's find out who makes them and buy them at $2ea and sell them online for $20ea.
Actually I have a mate in China who does injection moulding. He can have an order of 100 or more landed in Aus for $0.32ea in a 72hr time frame. Just need to email him a CAD image of the item. - Just joking but someones got to know where they originally come from.
Then again, I suppose it's only 3 jerry cans worth of diesel.
I got a couple of marine cup holders from BCF (Boating, Camping, Fishing store) on the Goldy and screwed them to the front of the cubby box. They are plastic and pretty basic, but they fold away and do the job. $10 for 2.

The reason the slip-on one appeals to me is that there is no physical attachment stuffing up the dash or cubby box with screw holes. I like the idea of bulk buying on this - from the photo it almost looks like it should be a standard piece of trim. Makes me wonder why Landrover aren't selling them as "genuine" for $220.
Yes, I only have an open tray in front of the cubby box too - not full of crap though so drinks just tend to tip over in it.
you got contact details for whoever is selling them, for all the dicking round to get them from the UK I'd rather just buy it here.Originally Posted by Michael2

I'd be interested if we could get the price a bit lower with a bulk buy.
I just have the open tray but it actually suits me because I mostly drink iced coffees whend driving long distance and they fit in there neatly.![]()
Yep it sits there quite nicely.Originally Posted by solmanic
