Thread: 6-wheeler rear axle ??

I cannot envision any other use for it. It would be interesting how the drive was planned to get to it. The obvious way would be a Perentie type drive off the LT95 transfer case, implying it was fitted (or intended to be fitted, it may be part of a project that never got completed) to a Stage 1.

So possibly more of a 'curiosity' unless someone out there is building a 6-wheeler.

Maybe I'll strip it for spares (if anything is usable after being stored outside for years) but keep the axle casing.

if its the rear most 6x6 housing with left side drop, flip it to be a front Sals. weld dana 60 C's onto it and make yourself a dana 60 front. i've got the same housing as a project in waiting. i'm about to buy the 6x6 intermediate housing and likewise weld dana 60 bearing spindles onto it to make a dana 60 rear 35 spline with a wider WMS. Dana 60 uses massive bearings and huge brakes. would be bullet proof.

One minor problem....it's a Rover diff not Salisbury.
